So much of our personal data and messages are collected and controlled by a small number of billionaire-owned businesses who simply do not care about our privacy and sell our data and attention to the highest bidder.

This isn’t just a problem for “people with things to hide”. It’s destroying the very fabric of our democracy and making society susceptible to control by inept, populist, authoritarian politicians.
